Workspaces and tenants
How personal workspaces, team spaces, and tenant isolation fit together.
Autodeck uses a workspace-first tenancy model.
In practice, that means every user works inside a tenant context from the start. The product does not treat tenancy as an enterprise add-on that appears later.
Personal workspace first
On first sign-in, Autodeck creates a personal workspace for you.
This gives you:
- a dedicated place for your data and Deck usage
- a clean boundary for future settings and permissions
- continuity if that workspace later becomes a team environment
Team and enterprise spaces
A workspace can stay personal, or it can evolve into a multi-member environment.
The model is designed to support:
- personal workspaces for individual users
- team or enterprise tenants with multiple members
- stricter access rules and optional SSO as organisational needs increase
Why the model matters
The workspace model influences almost everything else:
- Deck visibility
- agent scope
- permissions
- data access
- audit behaviour
If you understand the workspace boundary, the rest of Autodeck becomes much easier to understand.
